Plenum-Rated Thermostat Wire (CL2P)
Plenum-rated thermostat and control cable for installation in return-air plenums, ducts, and other air-handling spaces where code requires low-smoke, flame-resistant wiring. These Type CL2P / CMP cables are rated 300V, ETL listed to UL 13 and UL 444, and meet the NFPA 262 (UL 910) plenum flame test and CSA FT6 — with a low-smoke white PVC jacket built to limit smoke spread in a fire.
The range includes Southwire Baron solid-conductor plenum wire in 18 AWG from 2 to 10 conductors, plus shielded stranded options for EMI/RFI-sensitive runs. If your local code calls for plenum cable above a drop ceiling or inside an HVAC air path, this is the category to start in.
