Description
Rebuilt SD708 A/C compressor for Mazda B2000 & B2200 pickups
A professionally rebuilt SD708 A/C compressor for 1986–1993 Mazda B-series pickups — remanufactured to factory OEM standards as the direct replacement for the Sanden 7240. It uses the correct “WE” pad-style cylinder head that bolts straight to your original Mazda AC manifold lines — no custom hoses — on a 4-bolt direct-mount body with a factory-spec 1-groove 125 mm clutch. This is a core-exchange rebuild: your old compressor is required.
This is a rebuild — your core is required. We rebuild this SD708 to factory OEM standards, and we need your core (your old compressor) to complete the rebuild. This is a core-exchange service, not an off-the-shelf new unit. Call us at 480-507-2229 to arrange your rebuild and core return before ordering.

Technical specs
Install it right on an older system
These B-series trucks originally ran R12 and mineral oil, so a clean conversion matters. Follow these steps to protect your rebuilt compressor.
Flush thoroughly
Remove all old mineral-oil residue, sludge, and debris from the system before installing.
Renew components
Fit a fresh receiver-drier and a new expansion valve alongside the compressor.
Set the oil
Confirm the correct oil type and total system charge for an R134a system before start-up.
Evacuate deeply
Pull a full vacuum for 30–45 minutes to boil off moisture before charging.
Don’t forget the drier and valve
Any time the system is open for a compressor, replace these too — it protects your rebuilt unit and keeps the whole system cooling correctly.
Receiver-drier · 207-724
Always replace the drier with the compressor — it captures the moisture and debris that would otherwise attack the new unit. Matches the Mazda B2200 (’90–’93).
Add the drier →Expansion valve · 208-6606
Fit a fresh expansion valve so the system meters refrigerant correctly. 1/2″ × 3/8″ with a 20″ equalizer; cross-references the Mazda TXV — confirm fitment for your truck.
Add the valve →Retrolube POE oil · 861-2112
Refill with a premium POE lubricant carrying UV leak-detection dye — thermal-stable protection plus easy future leak diagnosis.
