Flush the system
Clear out old oil, sludge, moisture, and debris from any prior compressor failure.
Renew components
Always fit a fresh receiver-drier and a new expansion valve alongside the compressor.
Set the oil
Ships with a 135 cc PAG 100 charge. Optional upgrade: Retrolube POE with built-in UV dye (861-2112).
Evacuate deeply
Pull a full vacuum for 30–45 minutes to boil off trapped moisture before charging R134a.
Recommended upgrade: During install, consider Fluoro-Dye Retrolube POE Oil (861-2112) — a superior lubricant with advanced thermal stability and integrated UV leak-detection dye that makes future troubleshooting far easier.
